Questions & Answers

How do I register my player? There are two ways to register.  You can register online through the link above or you can register your child at one of our walk-in dates.  Click on the picture above and download the Intramural Registration Form and complete.  If this is the first time registering with our league, you will be required to submit a copy of your child's birth certificate which will be kept in our league office when you pickup your child's uniform.

What does my registration fee entail?  Our registration fee covers playing seasons for both the Fall '8 season and the Spring '09 season.  Our interleague are eligible to participate in our Wednesday Night training sessions at Venetian Shores Park at no additional cost.  We offer field training sessions, as well as keeper training!  (See our Training page for further details!) Participation awards will be presented to all players at the end of the spring season.  Our monthly newsletter, the Lindy Kicker, will be sent to your home during the spring and fall seasons to keep you updated on news and upcoming events around our league.

My child played with the league last year, do I need a new uniform:  White shirt issue. ague is upgrading uniforms for all players in the Intramural and Interleague Divisions.  The new uniforms are constructed with lightweight ClimaLite fabric that is easy to care for and helps keep our players comfortable on the field.  Our league uniform for the Interleague Division will consist of two shirts (white & green), one pair of  shorts (green) and one pair of socks (white) - travel and home uniforms.  For players making the transition from Intramural to Interleague divisions by moving in the U9 division, the addition of one white shirt will be needed.  The cost of the shirt is $18.  Be sure indicate the player number when ordering your shirt.

What equipment is needed for the players?  Each and every time a player steps unto the field, shin guards should be worn.  This is games as well as practices.  Soccer cleats are preferred but not necessary.  At no time will baseball cleats or football cleats be allowed.  Each player should bring their own soccer ball to practices.  Players in the U7 - U11 divisions will use a Size 4 ball and U12 and above divisions will use a Size 5 ball.

When and where are games played?  Our teams are registered with SSI (Suffolk Soccer Interleague).  Home games are played at either Shore Road, Venetian Shores Park or the Lindenhurst Middle School.  Away games are scheduled for neighboring towns in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.  Games are scheduled for weekends.  Schedules are provided at the beginning of each season.  Our fall season runs from mid September through mid November; our spring season runs from early April through mid June.

Is there a practice schedule?  As our league is volunteer organization, we ask our coaches to follow our guideline of "one practice per week."  Practice dates, times and locations are at the discretion of the coaches. We hold permits to a majority of the Lindenhurst soccer fields as well as Shore Road and Venetian Shores Parks.  Practices are usually held on these properties during our permitted times.

Can I request a specific coach or team for my child?  We do not commit to honoring placement requests.  Starting in the U6 Division and up, teams are formed by placing players according to their prior coaches' assessment of their skill set.  This assists us in forming teams as evenly as possible.  If your child has never played before, they will be placed on the next team in need of a player in their age group.
